The Year that Was... and 2006 Goals

The Year that Was (2005)

Here are relevant events happened last year in my life. I decided to divide it quarterly. Well, this is just my tradition. =)

1st Quarter

  • Started my caregiver course at SPI-Urdaneta

    Batch 6
THE BATCH  6 sitting(L-R): Kuya Ronald, Jun,  Ate Anita, Sir Kim and Nap standing: Ate Susan, Ate Rita, Ate Marlyn M, Ate Marlyn D, Ma'am Elen, me , Richelle, Ate Malou, Sheryl and Ate Lisa

  • Topsy-turvey situation at work

2nd Quarter

  • Caregiver class experienced lost of track however I gained three great buddies: Ate Susan, Richelle and Jun

with Richelle, Ma'am Necy, me and Jun
  • Back to work! STI-Urdaneta was moved at its new home at McArthur Hiway, Nancayasan Urdaneta City

3rd Quarter

  • Experienced the REAL WORLD of caregiving. My classmates and I were off for our On-the-Job Training (OJT) at three different health institutions: Asingan Medicare Community Hospital (AMCH), Breaking Barriers for Children (BBC) and Bahay-Puso Apostulate Foundation (BPAF).

  • at AMCH

    at BBC

    at BPAF
  • Revelation shocked me at Bahay-Puso Retreat Center and I got NDA afterwards. (Sept 2)

4th Quarter

  • At last graduation took place for our caregiver course (Oct 1 at Urduja Hotel). It was fun though I got a lil disappointed with some misunderstanding about our group brought by some unavoidable circumstances.
  • Early December, our home was decorated with Christmas. In this year, I was able to wrap and distribute gifts to the people close to my heart.
  • At the last two months of this quarter. The journey with NDA was in a wavy shore. The year ended up with a lot of questions left unanswered.

Goals for the Year of the Fire Dog (2006)

Aside from pondering what happebed on previous year, it's my tradition to set goals for the new year. Some of my goals for the year 2006 are in my "I want ..." list.

~ Wedding Bells? ~
Ok, I admit I'm already 25 years old that's why the frequently asked to me is: "When are you getting married?". Sometimes I really got pissed off with the old question. Last year, I do received a marriage proposal but til now I haven't answered it yet coz I know deep inside me, I'm not yet ready for a married life. I also admit that I would like to marry a good man and build a happy home BUT it will be pursue before I got 27 or 28. Oh, well.... I hope so!

~ Masters Degree ~
Yup! Most probably on June. I'm planning to took up Masters Degree in Business Administration. I'm not yet sure which university to enrolled. Anyway, I still have five months to choose.

~ Expanding Horizons ~
1. Driving Lessons
2. Foriegn Language (French, Korean or Mandarin)

That's it! I just hope and pray I will pursue them even just 75% of it. If God's will everthing will happen. Happy New Year to all of you!

Salva, don't worry so much about wedding bells and such. I didn't get married until I was 32 and even then, I didn't feel that ready for married life. Still got a lot of plans to pursue and would like to travel more. Once kids get in the picture, wala na :( Take your time and enjoy life... Youth and life only comes but once... don't waste it. :)

Hi Salva, i agree with Rose, take your time, enjoy muna, you have many things to achieve pa kaya lang wag ka naman gumaya sa kin eto hirap ng mag-asawa at age 38 hehehe.
