~ Result of the Training ~
"Some things are not meant to be..." That's what I realized after my five-day pre-employment training at eTelecare. I was not able to make it. I failed because I went to a battle unprepared or rather I decided to enter a new profession without considering what should I possess to be an effective call center agent. I believe the factors below are the reasons why I failed:
I already felt during the first day the possibility of not making it. However, I wanted to finish the training coz I want to learn or at least have an overview what's on CRM industry. Although I was not hired by eTelecare, I'm grateful coz I've learned a lot from them. I believe the knowledge and skills I acquired from the five-day training equipped me for the basic essentials to become an effective call center agent. I'm not giving up, I'm a starting a new career and failure at the beginning is part of it. Like what the saying goes: "Failure is only a postponement of success". Well, I'll miss my co-trainees. In the short time we've together, a warm friendship was built. Let's keep in touch guys! Etelecare gave us our allowance before the final assessment. After the result was unveiled my co-trainee and new friend, Leah and I went for a shoe shopping. We bought ourselves a pair of white sandals as our remembrance from the allowance we got out of the five-day training. Isn't that great?
~ I met She of the Bravejournal Community ~

Ladies, how about that huh?! I already met one of my friends in this community in person! Its really exciting! I also look forward to meet the others. It so happened that She works at the same building at Eastwood where my final assessment for the five-day pre-employment training was held. I hope to develop a deeper friendship with She soon. I'm glad we've met!
Til here! GOD BLESS to everybody!

Sorry to hear about that news Salva, you're right, it's just not meant to be. I'm sure there are other things that's in store for you. About their requirement regarding pronunciation and accent, I've talked to quite a few call center agents based in the Philippines and I can tell the moment I talk to them that they're Filipinos since they have what it's called a 'Filipino accent and way of speaking English'. Keep us updated and I'll keep my fingers crossed that you find your dream job. :)
