I haven't updated for quite a long time. I'm not accessing the Net that often. I surf once a week and most of the time in a hurry. Anyway, I look forward to update and catch-up with you guys on what I've missed to post on the previous weeks.
~ Job Hunting in the Metro ~
Right after the result of my pre-employment training at eTelecare was unveiled, I decided to stay in the Metro for job-hunting purposes. I prepared five copies of my resume so I can walk-in and apply at the different companies along Ayala Ave. Makati by the 2nd day of May. Unfortunately, my Auntie Josie asked me to accompany here at the Saudi Arabia embassy so I was not able to start my job-hunting spree on the said date instead on the 3rd day of May. I started my job-hunting with Leah around 9Am. We started at a call center company and have our preliminday interview. In my case, they're looking for TSRs who are knowledgable in hardware, networking and LAN applicants. Too bad, I'm more of a software-skilled IT practitioner. The next stop was a bank here in the Philippines. The bank is just few blocks away from the first company that we visited. Too bad again, I was not able to carry a copy of my TOR so the receptionist didn't accept my resume. The third company is a bank. This time around a multi-national bank. We entered there around 11AM but my name was called for the first interview around 2:30PM. I passed until the third interview which ended around 6:15PM. Imagine that! I was not able to take my lunch. Well, I'm still lucky. A lot of applicants when there and most of them failed on the first interview. Oh well, I went back to the bank the next day for the final interview and thanks God I passed. I'm just waiting for the job offer or order which according to my final interviewer be given after 2-3 weeks.
At the meantime, I'm still trying to apply online for alternatives. Well, we never know what's in the store on the future. I believe I must consider some alternatives so in case I didn't received a job offer, I still have other choices. I went home here at Pozorrubio, Pangasinan last Friday while waiting for the job offer as well as to try my luck in job-hunting in Baguio City. Honestly, I really wanted to stay in Manila for further job-hunting unfortunately, my budget is no longer enough. Its better to apply in-person than online but its more expensive. Anyway, I'm hoping and praying that I'll sign a job contract before June comes. I've been a career woman since I was 20. I can't withstand doing nothing and not having a career. So ladies, pray for me!
~ My Mom's Birthday and Mother's Day Celebration ~
That's my mom! She turned 52 last May 1st. We celebrated her birthday in Cavite. Actually, she went there so she won't feel home-alone. Coz during that time, I'm having my job-hunting in the Metro. For the Mother's Day, we just spent in at home. My mom is the greatest treasure I ever had in this world. Know why? Coz we surpassed a lot of obstacles in life. Moreover, she's my great influence: from insight to fasahion and even naughtiness. LOLS!
Til here! Belated Happy Mothers Day to all moms out there!
